Games have long been used for more serious things than mere entertainment. Intel's IT Manager Game is one of the earliest examples.

A Forrester Research study has recently acknowledged that serious gaming techniques provide an alternate way to collect and analyse product requirements. Innovation Games are a series of interactive techniques for getting the customers and prospects to help in creating the products they want. They can be used for understanding customer needs, identifying product functionality, learning how customers use the products, or shaping the products for the future. And this is not mere theory. Companies have started practicing it too -- more so, since innovation has now become critical to maintain market leadership! According to a recent press release, GlobalLogic (www.globallogic.com), a product development company, has now partnered with Enthiosys (www.enthiosys.com), and will now leverage techniques of Innovation Gaming to introduce innovation in the Product Planning and Development Processes. GlobalLogic and Enthiosys’s joint mission is to take gaming beyond entertainment and simulate competing scenarios for decision makers to apply to critical aspects of the product lifecycle, so that they can take product innovation to the market faster.

Interesting!

Janini -
A unique aspect of our approach is that Innovation Games can be played in both in-person and online. This flexibility enables product development teams to select and tailor the games to best meet solve their innovation challenges.

One challenge concerns identifying strategy market trends and developing product roadmaps that meet these trends. To help solve this challenge, many companies have created Customer Advisory Boards, in which a small group of key customers meet on a regular basis with company leaders to collaboratively explore these topics. Unfortunately, we find that many Customer Advisory Boards are boring: The company simply presents well-crafted PowerPoint presentations, and Advisory Board members try not to fall asleep. A much better approach is to use Innovation Games to engage Advisory Board members in thoughtful, serious, collaborative play. We've helped dozens of clients create better Advisory Boards.

Our success in these in-person games led us to put the games online. By working with GlobalLogic, we can create the same rich experience of the in-person games in a completely web-based, online interface. This enables product managers to directly and efficiently collaborate with large numbers of customers and other stakeholders to solve complex problems.

Over time, we'll continue to see Innovation Games used in both in-person and online formats. And this is a great thing, because Innovation Games helps companies create more innovative products and services.

According to my own analysis, millions of people on our planet get the business loans from well known banks. So, there's a good possibility to receive a short term loan in all countries.
